Introduction:

The purpose of this module is to present a dilemma that is faced by the chief character and which is very much in the present news accounts about the police and the criminal justice system.

Learning Objectives:

By participating in this module, a student will be able to:

1. Develop pro and con arguments concerning the issues raised by this play

2. Identify the major conflicts in the play and show how they may be similar to current conflicts in the law enforcement community in the USA

3. Compare the issues raised about the justice system in this play with those raised in Execution of Justice and Trifles.

12.2 Collaborate with other students in class and provide a list of actors who you think would make a good cast for this play and post them on the Projects Page. Be sure to provide a written rationale for who you believe should play the parts.

12.3 Copy and paste the attached worksheet on design to your portfolio page and answer the questions that are poised.
